The Camden County High School Coast Guard JROTC program is proudly displaying its new set of platoon flags, recently ordered to enhance unit identity and esprit de corps.
Each platoon has been named after a notable U.S. Coast Guard aircraft, reflecting the service’s aviation heritage:
Platoon 1 – HH-60 “Big Iron”
Platoon 2 – HH-65 “Dolphin”
Platoon 3 – HC-27 “Spartan”
Platoon 4 – HC-130 “Hercules”
In addition to the platoon flags, the unit also introduced a striking white Camden CG JROTC Company Flag, symbolizing unity and pride across all platoons.
“These flags turned out fantastic,” said the instructors. “They’re more than just symbols, they represent the professionalism, teamwork, and pride our cadets display every day.”
The new flags will be used during drill practices, ceremonies, and community events, serving as a visible reminder of the program’s connection to the proud traditions of the U.S. Coast Guard.
